Description

Elements of Computational Design I provides students with a conceptual and practical introduction to the integration of computer programming in the design process. The core content of the module is an introduction to computer programming for designers, providing a foundation for diverse applications of programming in design. Students are introduced to the concepts and practice of data visualization and physical computing as representative applications of programming in design. The module will be delivered through a series of lectures, seminars and hands-on programming workshops to equip students with the skills of writing short computer programmes that enable innovative approaches to design.
